Correct one RDS DB instance exceeding max age

Overview

RDS DB Instances that run for a long time should either be associated with a Reserved Instance or removed to reduce costs.

This pipeline allows you to specify a single long running RDS instance and then either send a notification or attempt to perform a predefined corrective action.

Whilst it is possible to utilise this pipeline standalone, it is usually called from the correct_rds_db_instances_exceeding_max_age pipeline.

Run the pipeline

To run this pipeline from your terminal:

flowpipe pipeline run aws_thrifty.pipeline.correct_one_rds_db_instance_exceeding_max_age \
--arg 'title=<string>' \
--arg 'db_instance_identifier=<string>' \
--arg 'region=<string>' \
--arg 'cred=<string>'

Use this pipeline

To call this pipeline from your pipeline, use a step:

step "pipeline" "step_name" {
pipeline = aws_thrifty.pipeline.correct_one_rds_db_instance_exceeding_max_age
args = {
title = <string>
db_instance_identifier = <string>
region = <string>
cred = <string>
}
}
